AFRICA YOUTH SKILLS & EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM (AYSEP)
Practical Skills. Real Opportunities. Sustainable Futures.
The Africa Youth Skills & Empowerment Program (AYSEP) is a hands-on training initiative designed to equip African youths with practical, income-generating skills for today’s economy.
Our programs combine technical knowledge, practical training, and business development, empowering participants to create jobs, build enterprises, and contribute to local economic growth.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Each Skills Track runs for:
📅 Duration: 3 Months
📚 Schedule: 2 Classes per Week
🛠 Format: Theory + Practical + Business Skills
🎯 Outcome: Job-ready skills or small business startup capacity
Participants can enroll in one or more tracks depending on their interests.

SKILLS TRACK 1: Hydroponics & Urban Farming
Learn how to grow fresh vegetables without soil in small spaces and turn it into a business.
Key Learning Areas:
• Soilless farming (hydroponics) basics
• Growing food in balconies, rooftops, and indoors
• Nutrient and plant health management
• Starting a small hydroponics business
Career & Business Paths:
✔ Urban vegetable farming
✔ Home food production
✔ Hydroponics business startup
✔ Supplying restaurants and households


SKILLS TRACK 2: Spice Production & Agribusiness
Move from raw spices to packaged, market-ready products.
Key Learning Areas:
• Ginger, turmeric, and chili value chains
• Spice drying, grinding, and processing
• Packaging and branding spice products
• Introduction to export opportunities
Career & Business Paths:
✔ Spice processing business
✔ Packaged spice brand
✔ Agro-trading and export
✔ Value-added food production


SKILLS TRACK 3: Food Processing & Packaging
Turn local crops into safe, branded food products ready for the market.
Key Learning Areas:
• Food processing value chains (cashew, groundnut, tomato, etc.)
• Food safety and hygiene basics
• Introduction to NAFDAC compliance
• Packaging for local and export markets
• Branding and labeling for small food businesses
Career & Business Paths:
Small-scale food processing
Packaged food brand development
Agro-processing entrepreneurship
Value addition for farmers


SKILLS TRACK 4: TV, Radio & Digital Media Broadcasting
Build confidence and skills for media, communication, and content creation.
Key Learning Areas:
• Presenting and voice training
• On-camera and radio performance
• Podcasting and online broadcasting
• Scriptwriting and content creation
Career & Business Paths:
✔ Radio and TV presenting
✔ Podcasting and digital content creation
✔ Media production
✔ Public speaking and communication roles


SKILLS TRACK 5: Renewable Energy & Climate-Smart Technologies
Learn clean energy solutions and smart farming for a changing climate.
Key Learning Areas:
• Home solar system basics
• Solar power for homes and small businesses
• Dry-season farming techniques
• Smart irrigation and water-saving methods
Career & Business Paths:
✔ Solar system technician (basic level)
✔ Solar-powered farming solutions
✔ Dry-season vegetable farming
✔ Climate-smart agriculture entrepreneurship


OUR TRAINING APPROACH

Each participant completes a practical or business project before graduation.


CERTIFICATION
Participants who complete the course requirements receive a:
Certificate of Skills Completion
in their chosen Skills Track


WHO CAN APPLY
• Youth (21-35 years old)
No advanced qualifications required — just interest and commitment.
