POTENTIAL FOOD SHORTAGE IN NIGERIA

Published 27th February 2021 19.00 (WAT)

In response to the potential shortage of essential food items such as tomatoes, onions, etc. due to the security challenges in some parts of Nigeria; the Africa House has launched a massive food production drive using hydroponics. Under this drive, any willing and able Nigerian in these areas of potential shortage would be taught how to grow their own food without soil using hydroponics technology, and the Africa House will be selling cheap hydroponics start up kits that will allow anyone grow their own food anywhere in Nigeria regardless of the weather or location. This drive will eliminate the need to transport food over long distances, and also combat food shortage in areas highly dependent on food from other states.
